Grass-fed Texas beef
Our cattle are born and raised on pasture, finished on grass, and processed at a small USDA-inspected facility. Cuts are vacuum-sealed and frozen at peak freshness.
Lonestar Prairie Farm is a fourth-generation family ranch in Central Texas raising grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, and seasonal crops on open prairie pasture.
Saturday Farm Stand: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, fresh beef, eggs, and vegetables every weekend.
Lonestar Prairie Farm began when the Carter family settled on a patch of rolling prairie and sandy loam that turned out to be just right for cattle and crops. Four generations later, the same family still works this land and calls it home.
We believe a ranch is more than fences and fields. It is a place where stories are passed down at the kitchen table and where neighbors are greeted at the gate with a firm handshake and a hot meal waiting inside.
Our work is simple: raise healthy animals, care for the land, and offer honest food to families who want to know their rancher by name.
We sell directly from the ranch so you know exactly where your food is coming from. Everything we offer is raised here on our farm under the same careful watch.

Our laying hens follow the cattle in portable coops, scratching through the pasture and helping fertilize fields the way nature intended.
Depending on the year and the rain, we grow a mix of sweet corn, okra, tomatoes, squash, melons, and a few rows of peppers for those who like some heat.
We open the gates on select days for small, guided ranch visits. Walk the pastures, meet the herd, peek into the barn, and slow down long enough to hear the wind moving across the grass.
Whether you are looking for a side of beef, planning a family day on the ranch, or simply curious about how we run cattle on Texas prairie, we are glad to hear from you.
Use the form to send us a note, or reach out directly by phone or email. If we are out checking fences or moving cattle, we will get back to you as soon as we are back by the house.
